Highcolor supports express, air and sea transportation, with the route and commercial scope confirmed for each order. Discuss the balance between shipment size, handling, cost and the required arrival date before booking.
Express courier
A practical option to discuss for samples, smaller accessories and urgent spare parts. Confirm parcel size, chargeable weight, destination coverage and the import-clearance arrangements.
Air freight
Consider air freight when schedule matters more than the lowest freight cost. Obtain a quote covering the agreed airport or final address and clarify ground handling, clearance and local delivery.
Sea freight
Consider sea freight for larger display shipments and project equipment. Agree the consolidation or container plan, packaging, port handling and inland delivery scope with the logistics parties.
Transit estimates depend on the route, carrier capacity, customs and destination delivery. Production time, packing, freight transit and site installation are separate stages; confirm each date in the order schedule.
Packaging matched to the journey
Protect cabinets and modules
Agree protective packing for the screen surface, corners and sensitive connectors. Specify how cabinets will be restrained and how accessories and spare modules will be identified.
Plan for storage and repeated handling
Select packaging for the transport route and intended reuse. Rental equipment may benefit from reusable flight cases; fixed-installation shipments need a packing plan suitable for their delivery and unloading conditions.

Highcolor shipping-case example. Final packaging is agreed for the product, quantity and transport route.
Where regulated solid-wood packaging is used, confirm the destination’s ISPM 15 treatment and marking requirements with the packing provider and forwarder. Assess the actual materials rather than assuming every wooden-looking case needs the same treatment.
IPPC: wood packaging guidanceFrom order confirmation to delivery
01 / Confirm the destination
Provide the country, city, postcode, receiving contact and delivery point. Tell us about remote locations, island transfers, building restrictions or special unloading needs.
02 / Agree the shipment scope
Confirm the cabinet and accessory list, package dimensions and weight, transport method, delivery term and insurance arrangement in the quotation.
03 / Prepare documents and packing
Review consignee details and the commercial descriptions before dispatch. Agree the shipment identification, packing list and any required destination documents.
04 / Coordinate the receiving team
Use the available shipment reference and schedule updates to prepare for clearance and arrival. Arrange unloading, inspection and safe storage before installation begins.
Know what the freight quotation includes
Ask for an itemised scope covering origin pickup, export handling, main carriage, insurance, destination handling, import clearance, duties and taxes, inland delivery and unloading as applicable. Specify who pays each charge and who manages the importer’s responsibilities.
Name the delivery term and place
If an Incoterms® rule is used, state the agreed rule, named place or port and edition in the contract. EXW, FCA, FOB, CIF, DAP and other terms allocate responsibilities differently; availability depends on the route and agreement.
Separate freight cost from risk and insurance
Who pays freight is not always the same as who bears transit risk at every stage. Confirm risk transfer, insurance cover, exclusions and claim procedures in the shipment agreement.
A freight quotation does not automatically include duties, taxes, storage, demurrage, re-delivery, unloading or installation. Ask for the exclusions and quote validity before accepting the shipment plan.
Export and customs documentation
Highcolor’s service information describes assistance with invoices, packing lists and export or origin documentation. Confirm the required document set for the actual shipment with the importer and broker before dispatch.
Commercial and shipment records
Check the invoice, packing list, consignee, package count, weights and transport document against the supplied goods. Ask the broker to validate the customs classification.
Destination-specific evidence
Identify any origin document, product declaration, test record, registration or permit required for the destination. Confirm availability and scope early so missing evidence does not become a last-minute issue.
Receiving and transport-damage reporting
Before signing for delivery, inspect the package count and visible condition where practicable. Record damage or shortages on the delivery record and take clear photos. Keep packaging and labels available for the carrier or insurer’s assessment.
Highcolor’s FAQ asks customers to report transport damage with unboxing evidence within 24 hours of receipt. Notify Highcolor and the relevant logistics party promptly, and also follow the carrier, insurance and contract deadlines. Agree the repair, replacement or claim response after the case is reviewed.

Can you provide a shipping price before the display is finalised?
An early estimate can be discussed, but a usable freight quotation needs the packing dimensions, weight, destination and service scope. Confirm the final cost after those details are available.
Is customs clearance included?
It depends on the agreed quotation and delivery term. Identify the importer and broker and state which party handles clearance, duties and taxes.
Does delivery include installation?
Only when installation is explicitly included in the project agreement. Define the handover point, unloading and on-site works separately.
Can I use my own freight forwarder?
Tell the sales team at the quotation stage so the collection point, document handover, booking and responsibility boundaries can be agreed.
Request a transportation plan
Send your LED display specification or order reference, quantity, delivery country and postcode, required arrival date and preferred transport method. Include your forwarder details if nominated, unloading restrictions and whether you need a port, airport or final-address quotation.
