Product documentation for confident procurement

Highcolor’s published product information references CE, FCC and RoHS, with UL availability described for selected products. For your purchase, request the applicable declaration, report or listing for the exact model and confirm its scope with our team.

Documentation requirements can change when the power supply, controller, cabinet design or destination changes. Include the complete configuration in your request so the records can be matched to the equipment being quoted.

Understand the documentation you are requesting

CE · EU conformity

For products covered by the relevant EU legislation, review the EU declaration of conformity, product identification and supporting technical records. CE marking is the manufacturer’s conformity declaration; it is not a general approval issued by an EU authority.

European Commission: CE marking

FCC · Electromagnetic compatibility

Confirm the applicable US equipment-authorization route and the exact-model evidence. Depending on the equipment, Supplier’s Declaration of Conformity or certification may apply. Ask separately about any wireless devices; not every compliant device has an FCC ID.

FCC: equipment authorization guidance

RoHS · Restricted substances

Request the applicable conformity documentation and supporting material or test evidence for the supplied product. RoHS addresses restricted substances in electrical and electronic equipment; it does not replace electrical-safety or electromagnetic-compatibility assessment.

European Commission: RoHS

UL or other safety listing · Model-specific

Where a project requires a safety listing, request the exact model and listing details and verify the scope with the issuing organisation. A recognised or listed component does not by itself establish certification of the complete LED wall.

OSHA: recognised testing laboratory guidance

What to check on every document

Identity and configuration

Match the manufacturer, applicant, model or series and covered variants to the quotation. Check ratings and the relationship between the tested sample and the supplied cabinet, power equipment and controller.

Document type and scope

Distinguish a test report, declaration of conformity and third-party certification or listing. Read the referenced standards, limitations and product category rather than relying on a logo alone.

Traceability and current relevance

Review the report or certificate number, issue date and any stated validity or status. Verify records through the issuing body where available, and ask whether configuration or standard changes require an updated assessment.

A useful document pack starts with your project

For technical review

Request the product datasheet, electrical ratings, configuration list, relevant declarations and supporting test or listing records. Tell us the exact tender wording so document scope can be checked.

For importing and installation

Confirm the local responsible party, required labels and language, and any destination-specific registration. Keep product documentation separate from customs paperwork and building or sign permissions.

CE, FCC or RoHS information should not be treated as automatic access to every market. Local registration, electrical-safety rules, radio requirements and installation approvals may apply to different parts of the system.

Company qualifications and product certification

Highcolor’s company news records National High-Tech Enterprise recognition in December 2020. This is a company milestone, separate from certification of an LED display model. Ask for current company qualification documents if your procurement process requires them.

Certification questions

Can I request certificates before placing an order?

Send the model or proposed configuration, destination and tender requirements. Ask the sales team to identify the applicable records and any documentation that needs further confirmation.

Does one certificate cover every Highcolor product?

Use the scope stated in the actual document. Confirm covered models, variants and components instead of extending a single report to the entire catalogue.

Is a power-supply certificate enough for the finished display?

It establishes only the scope stated for that component. The finished system and installation may require separate assessment or documentation.

Can documents guarantee customs release or site approval?

No single product document guarantees both. Confirm importing requirements with the importer and installation permissions with the local project team.

Request model-specific compliance documents

Email the display model or application, pixel pitch, screen dimensions, destination country, power and control configuration, and any tender or consultant requirements. Include the document deadline and preferred language.
