SOUTH KOREA PROCUREMENT GUIDE · REPUBLIC OF KOREA

LED Display Manufacturers in Korea

Compare Korean LED signage brands, local integration partners and factory-direct supply for projects in the Republic of Korea. Start with model-specific compliance, installed cost and service responsibility—not a cabinet price alone.

Korea-specific buying priorities

A Korean project needs a clear conformity route, an accountable importer or local supplier, site approval where applicable and a workable after-sales plan.

What this guide covers

Commercial direct-view LED video walls, indoor signage, outdoor displays and event screens. “Korea” on this page means South Korea; it does not cover procurement in North Korea.

Manufacturers and supply routes to compare

These are examples, not a ranking or endorsement. Product families, local availability and service arrangements must be confirmed for the exact model. Separate brand ownership, manufacturing origin and the company taking contractual responsibility.

Samsung Electronics

Samsung’s Korean business site presents indoor and outdoor LED signage and Korean installation examples. Ask the local sales channel to identify the current model, processor, service coverage and complete installed scope.

Samsung Korea: LED signage

LG Electronics

LG’s LED portfolio includes MAGNIT, indoor LED, all-in-one displays and outdoor LED. Compare the specific Korean offering and installation scope, rather than treating every product family as interchangeable.

LG: LED signage portfolio

Highcolor: factory-direct option

Highcolor is a China-based LED display manufacturer, not a Korean domestic manufacturer. A Korean project must separately establish the importer, applicable approvals, local installation and service responsibilities.

Discuss factory-direct supply

A Korean system integrator can coordinate structure, AV, electrical work and support. Request comparable local references and written response times. For factory-direct procurement, agree who owns every task that a turnkey integrator would otherwise provide.

20 LED Display Manufacturers and Solution Providers in Korea

Explore additional companies for your South Korean display project. This directory includes manufacturers, integrators, rental companies and creative media providers, whose services differ. Confirm the contracting entity, exact equipment model and local support scope before comparing quotations. Entries are not ranked.

Contact details reviewed September 2026. Some listed contacts remain unverified and are marked accordingly. Request a KRW quotation that separates equipment, installation, VAT, spare parts and warranty labour. Agree Korean-language operator training, local repair arrangements and event-day support where needed. Confirm model-specific conformity documentation with the responsible Korean supplier before ordering.

Check the Korean conformity route before production

RRA: EMC and radio equipment

RRA conformity assessment covers relevant broadcasting and communications equipment. Determine the route for the exact video wall and control system; verify model identifiers, applicant details and labels. Reassess changes to power supplies, controllers or radio functions with the responsible party.

RRA: conformity assessment overview

Electrical safety is a separate check

Ask a Korean laboratory or importer to classify the display, power supplies and supplied accessories under the applicable safety regime. Do not assume that one power-supply certificate covers the entire installed display. Check the relevant model documentation and required product information.

Safety Korea: safety requirements and labelingSearch Safety Korea records

Wireless control needs its own review

List any Wi-Fi, Bluetooth or cellular hardware in the quotation. Confirm whether its approval and integration conditions cover the delivered configuration. A wired controller and a wireless-enabled system should not be treated as the same compliance case.

RRA: equipment and assessment routes

Procurement checkpoint: make document review and the agreed testing or registration plan a purchase-order milestone. CE, FCC and ISO documents can be supporting evidence; they should not be presented as automatic Korean market authorization.

The installation location changes the specification

Retail, offices and control rooms

Specify closest viewing distance, text readability, ambient light, front-service access and acoustic limits. Test actual Korean-language content at the intended resolution. Confirm the site electrical supply, circuit capacity and grounding with the installer.

Outdoor advertising and façades

Check whether the sign needs local permission or reporting before approving size and mounting. Ask the relevant municipality about location-specific operating and display restrictions. Specify structural design, water protection, drainage and maintenance access.

Korean outdoor-advertising legislation

Events, studios and rental fleets

For camera-facing use, test scan behavior, refresh settings and camera shutter combinations. For rental use, compare rigging documentation, cabinet handling, connectors and replacement-module consistency. Assign inspection and safe installation responsibilities.

Coastal and exposed installations

A coastal Busan or Jeju project may need a different corrosion, wind and moisture specification from an indoor Seoul lobby. Obtain site-specific design conditions; an IP label alone is not a complete environmental specification.

For public or institution-led procurement, read the actual tender’s eligibility, delivery, warranty, documentation and acceptance clauses. Do not assume that every Korean tender requires the same certifications or domestic-origin conditions.

LED display prices in Korea: compare the complete scope

A reliable comparison starts with a dated, like-for-like quotation. This guide does not publish an unsupported market average or a Highcolor price promise. Ask suppliers to separate hardware, Korean project services and tax.

Display hardware

Record active screen area, exact pixel pitch, resolution, cabinet dimensions, SMD/COB or other packaging, brightness, calibration, redundancy and spare modules. A premium micro-LED system and a standard SMD video wall are not equivalent price benchmarks.

System and local delivery

Include the processor, receiving cards, media player, cables, distribution equipment, supporting steelwork, installation, commissioning and training. Confirm whether the quotation covers lifting equipment, access restrictions and site restoration.

Import and lifetime costs

Add freight, insurance, clearance, applicable duty and VAT, conformity work, local delivery and spare-parts logistics. Compare energy use under a stated operating profile and the cost of local labor and replacement freight during warranty.

A practical quotation comparison

Request both the total installed project price and the hardware-only price per square metre. Use the same active area and specification, name the quotation currency (KRW or USD), exchange-rate date, Incoterms rule and named place, validity period and VAT inclusion.

Arithmetic example only—not a market price: for a 20 m² screen, a hardware difference of USD 100/m² changes the subtotal by USD 2,000. An omitted processor, installation scope or local warranty obligation can change which offer is actually cheaper.

Duty and VAT should be calculated separately

Korean VAT legislation specifies a standard 10% rate. Have the broker confirm the import VAT base, applicable exemptions and other taxes for the transaction. Keep import VAT cash outlay separate from any later input-tax recovery that the buyer’s accountant confirms.

National Tax Service: Value-Added Tax Act

Customs duty depends on the goods’ classification and the applicable tariff treatment. Use the Korean tariff lookup for the actual product; do not hard-code a tariff for every LED cabinet, processor and spare part. FTA preference requires the relevant origin and procedural conditions, not simply shipment from China.

Six items to settle before signing

01 · Model and documentation

Identify the display, processor, power supply and any wireless equipment by model. Obtain the assessment plan or verified records and agree who maintains the compliance file.

02 · Korean responsibility

Name the contracting entity, importer, installer and service provider. Request Korean-language support arrangements, contact details and escalation ownership.

03 · Factory acceptance

Agree test content, calibration records, brightness measurement conditions, pixel-defect criteria, burn-in procedure and the evidence provided before shipment.

04 · Site acceptance

Define alignment, electrical and signal checks, content playback, camera testing where needed and a signed defect list. Tie final acceptance to measurable contract criteria.

05 · Warranty logistics

Separate parts coverage from on-site labor, travel and freight. Set response targets, replacement stock location, module matching and procedures when a model is discontinued.

06 · Schedule and changes

Allow for document review, any required assessment, production, shipping and installation. Freeze the approved bill of materials and define how substitutions are reviewed.
